Since man has been on this Earth there have been hundreds if not thousands of ways that have been used for outer health to repair, revitalize and rejuvenate the outer body; and just as many ways to repair, revitalize and rejuvenate the inner mind.
Over the years some methods were chosen over others because of their ease of use and because the ruling forces at the time forbid those methods of self-improvement that they didn't use or understand. Also some countries are surrounded by water or populated by a migratory people so their methods remained in a given locality isolated from most parts of the world. That doesn't mean any one method of self-improvement, whether physical or metaphysical, works better than any other but is simply different (people say that one is attracted to those methods that are best for that individual).
There are practioners of these so-called 'alternative' therapies everywhere - especially in the greater Brighton area.
Though at Brightonesque do not recommend one method of self-improvement over another we have a daily help line to explain in greater detail the various alternative methods used for both the body and mind. Our experienced consultant will be available to answer only serious enquiries from 13:00 to 15:00 Monday to Saturday at 0845 2699623.

Effective Counselling History & Marriage / Couples Course
Written by Peter Mumford
Having survived a keen interest in psychoanalysis in the 50s, and 4 years intensive study in the early 60’s, I launched myself on the public at a time in England where any suggestion of an alternative view of medicine, let alone emotional/mental health was met with a wall of scepticism & disbelief, if not outright hostility! Fortunately, for me, and the many hundreds of subsequent clients, I have been wounded from time to time but never ever even vaguely deterred!
It is essential for people to become aware of themselves in order to become more potent and fulfilled on all levels of their lives. Try some of these exercises from an experienced Transformational Coach.
Communicate
Written by Alexander Stiles
You know it's so weird that kids can try to explain things to adults - and guess what?! - they become frustrated by OUR lack of understanding!
We all feel we are balanced, measured and mature... until we find a knot in our shoelaces! We start to try the 'quick untie' which appears as if our fingers are pulling at a ball of string from every direction waiting for the 'loose loop' to make itself known then pull it victoriously expecting the loose end to completely unravel the rest of the knot - and then start retying the knot in our shoes from the beginning, but sometimes pulling it only serves to tighten a different part of it making the whole situation worse, at this point we start to get a bit angry and thinking about the bus we wanted to catch and our fumbling fingers aren't gentle anymore. As we continue fumbling around with this tiny but increasing annoying knot that now has us contemplating scissors and new laces at the shoe store by the bus station, we become increasingly enraged by a piece of string that may ruin the beginning of our day!
The level to which we take ourselves seriously is ironically dependent on how serious we are. We need to believe important things about ourselves:
*Do we believe in ourself?
*Do we believe in our judgement?
*Do we believe we deserve what we wish for?
*Do we believe that our 'significant others' will agree with us and our decisions.
*If it came to it, could we disagree with them [ depending on our own self-confidence to proceed and forgiving their difference of opinion ]; or decide that their life-path diverges too much from our's and find the courage to say 'good-bye'?
Previously we spoke about a sprinkling of important issues, that are part of our natural self-examination. I touched lightly on many important questions we might ask ourselves during important times in our life. I purposely brought up many deep questions without delving deeper for two reasons.
